Sawa Market policies

Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

Sellers must use product names, images, descriptions and trademarks they own, license or are otherwise legally permitted to use.

Effective 17 September 2026

Seller responsibility

Before publishing a product image, description, brand name, logo or other material, confirm that you own it, have permission, hold an appropriate license or have another lawful basis to use it. Attribution alone does not automatically create permission.

Counterfeit and trademark misuse

Sellers may not offer counterfeit products, falsely claim affiliation with another brand, or use trademarks in a way that materially misleads customers about the source, sponsorship or authenticity of a product or store.

Rights reports

Rights holders may submit a clear notice identifying the protected work or mark, the allegedly infringing Sawa Market product or store, relevant contact information, a good-faith statement and any declarations required by applicable law.

Review, removal and appeals

Sawa Market may remove or restrict a product or store after a valid rights complaint. Affected users may receive appropriate notice and an opportunity to appeal or counter-notify where applicable law provides such a process.

Repeat infringement

Accounts or stores that repeatedly violate intellectual-property rights may lose listing, selling or account access, taking into account successful appeals, fraudulent reports and applicable law.

Abuse of the reporting system

Knowingly false, fraudulent or abusive rights claims are prohibited and may result in reporting restrictions or other enforcement.
