Sawa Market policies
Sawa Market Commerce Policy
Rules intended to keep buying, selling, product listings, promotion and order fulfillment trustworthy.
Effective 17 September 2026
Seller obligations
Sellers must describe goods and services accurately, state material defects, keep stock reasonably current, honor advertised prices and accepted orders, provide truthful contact information where required, and comply with applicable taxes, licensing, warranty, refund and consumer-protection law.
Prohibited listings
Sawa Market prohibits illegal goods and services, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, trafficking-related services, sexual exploitation, malware, hacked accounts, fraudulent financial schemes and goods that materially facilitate serious crime. Regulated categories may be unavailable where Sawa Market lacks the compliance controls required to support them safely.
Pricing, stock and product integrity
Sellers may not fabricate scarcity, use misleading prices, materially misrepresent product origin or condition, or publish inventory they do not reasonably expect to supply. Product images and descriptions must correspond to what is actually offered.
Orders and payment status
A Sawa Market buyer order is a marketplace workflow record between a buyer and a seller. Sawa Market does not currently hold, escrow or settle the buyer-to-seller purchase price. Buyers use a seller-declared payment method and should retain appropriate proof of that external payment.
Seller plans and paid business services
Sawa Market may offer optional seller plans, product or store promotion, advertising, merchant support, enterprise services and other business services. Eligible fixed-price services use secure PayPal or card checkout and activate only after server-side provider confirmation. Seller packages are one-time, fixed-term purchases and do not renew automatically. In-person cash collection is limited to approved campaign onboarding.
No mandatory transaction commission at launch
Sawa Market's launch revenue model is based on optional advertising, promoted visibility, verification review work, fixed-term seller tools and assisted business services. Sawa Market does not charge sellers a mandatory commission on ordinary buyer-to-seller sales at launch.
Promoted and sponsored placement
Sellers or advertisers may pay for additional marketplace visibility. Paid product promotion, featured-store placement and advertising are identified with labels such as “Promoted”, “Featured store” or “Sponsored”. Payment does not exempt a listing, store or advertiser from Sawa Market safety, product or advertising requirements.
Business verification
Sawa Market may charge for the work required to review business information, where such a review service is offered. A review fee never purchases or guarantees a verified status. A verification label is shown only after Sawa Market completes the applicable checks and approves the business.
Delivery, completion and reviews
Sellers should mark orders completed only after fulfillment. Buyers may review completed orders based on genuine transaction experience. Review manipulation, coercion or fabricated reviews are prohibited.
Trust and transaction integrity
Buyers and sellers may not use phishing, fake payment confirmations, credential theft, refund fraud, impersonation or threats to manipulate a transaction. No participant should request passwords, one-time codes or unrelated sensitive information as a condition of sale.
Enforcement
Sawa Market may remove products, restrict stores, preserve relevant records or suspend commerce access when fraud, prohibited goods, serious safety risks or repeated policy violations are identified. Lawful authority requests are handled under applicable legal process.
